4 Months Old!
This month flew by! At 4 months old, our little Presley is still long and lean--25.5 inches long (86th percentile) and weighs 12 pounds 10 ounces (27th percentile). It was an eventful month!
- On March 6th, Presley gave me her first laugh. I was blowing kisses under her arms and around her neck and she finally thought that was worth a laugh! It was awesome! The laugh has made a few other brief appearances since that time but, generally she's very stingy with them (or we're just not that funny). Daddy's still waiting for his first laugh!
- We are also happy to report that we are now sleeping through the night more often than not and the whole nap thing has finally clicked! Presley usually goes to bed around 10pm and sleeps until 6 or 7am and then has a nice, 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon and several cat naps throughout the day. P almost didn't recognize me without the dark circles under my eyes!
- She is very vocal and loves to sing and tell us stories. She has the sweetest little voice.
- Presley has gotten really good with her hands and can reach out and grab objects and promptly put them in her mouth. She also starting noticing her feet and will occasionally reach out and grab them too.
- She's really close to rolling over in each direction but tends to get stuck on her side. She's much better at doing her mini-pushups and enjoys sitting in her bumbo chair.
- Presley has become attached to her little pink "lovie." It's a little fluffy blanket with a satin edge that she loves to rub on her face and cuddle up to when she's tired--just like her momma did.
- She threw her first little fit this month. It was time to eat and apparently Daddy wasn't getting her to me fast enough so a little kicking and yelling fit ensued. We laughed and promptly informed her that wasn't how we do business around here--I'm sure we won't have to tell her that again ;-).
- Presley had her first stay in a hotel (in Orlando for Auntie Ashley and Uncle Jay's wedding) and airplane rides (to Texas to see Cassie and Craig) and she traveled like a pro!
And, for your viewing enjoyment, a few out-takes:
You talking to me?
And, here we are doing the "truffle shuffle"

Jet-set Baby
We went to visit our good friends, Cassie and Craig, in Frisco, Texas for Jeff's spring break. I was a little nervous to travel with the Little One but, she did great! In fact, she was so overcome with excitement that she slept right through both of them! Seriously, she slept from shortly before takeoff until after we had landed on both flights. We are very lucky parents!
She's ready to go! Oh wait, there's something wrong with the plane--time to get off...
...and wait for 2 hours while they fix it!
We really enjoyed our lodgings at the Chateau Copeland. The best part was that their dental school couch, that we all spent many hours on, made the trek from Gainesville and now resides in their theater room. We all settled in and it was just like old times---except the screen was a bit bigger ;)
Presley enjoyed meeting Riley and Riley seemed to enjoy having her around. He promptly exclaimed, "she's so cute!" when he saw her and while he didn't really play with her, he did keep tabs on her and kept asking where the baby went after we had left.
Our visit went too fast and before we knew it, we were on our way home again. And Presley had a nice, long nap.

And then we were finally on our way, not that P noticed :-)
We didn't take many pictures but, we enjoyed a few days visiting with our friends, exploring the area, and Jeff was able to see Craig in action as a real-live dentist.
We found plenty of good (unhealthy) food. Including an all-you-can-eat, comfort food place called Babes. It was delicious!

Ashley & Jay's Wedding
We were so excited to be a part of Ashley and Jay's wedding! It was a beautiful setting, Ashley was a beautiful bride and Jay was a very handsome groom! Jeff and I both agreed that it was one of the funnest weddings we've ever been to!
We had to rehearse a little. Apparently Greer didn't get the "wear navy and white" memo. Somehow, most of us managed to don the same color scheme without any coordination. Great minds think alike, I guess!
The girls all got ready in the guest house. Greer put together an excellent "love" soundtrack and we enjoyed getting all gussied up for the big event! Of course, it doesn't take much for either one of my sisters to look amazing. As a new mommy, I need all of the help I can get!
Before the ceremony, Ashley received some final "love texts" from Jay and a hand massage from me. And then it was time to go become Mrs. Peeper!
I love this shot of Jay when he first saw Ashley. And it was even sweeter when I watched him get choked up looking at his beautiful bride. He was looking at her the way a groom should look at his bride.
The reverend did a really nice job with the ceremony and before we knew it, we were being introduced to the new Mr. and Mrs. Peeper! Hoorah!
This is Jay and his best man, and brother, Blake. Can you tell they're brothers!?!
Our little sweet P made an appearance for a couple of pictures. Doesn't Jeff look handsome in his seer-sucker coat? Love it. Love him. Love my baby.
I love this photo of all of us goof-balls. Seriously, one of my favorite photos of the day. It's so us.
The Peepers---such a nice family. We just love them.
Such a beautiful, happy couple.
Ashley and Jay danced their first dance to Blake Shelton's "God gave me you" sung by Jay's best friend, Wilson. It was such a magical moment. The sun was starting to set and Wilson did a great job. Very romantic.
We were too busy enjoying the party to take many pictures but, it was a spectacular party! The food was delicious (barbeque served on fine china), the dance floor was packed, and we enjoyed a few down moments in front of the fire pit on the beach.
The couple made their happy exit...
...and we were all tuckered out.
