A few random things...

First, have you discovered the greatness that is the Publix no-sugar added fudgesicle? 40 calories and absolutely delicious. Jeff and I eat them every night for dessert. Tas-ty.

Second, have you discovered the deliciousness of Chobani greek yogurt? A little more expensive than regular yogurt but, it's packed with protein and mighty good!

Third, Jeff is going out of town this weekend which means I'm left to either (1) watch a lot of tv and work on some homemade craps (I mean crafts) or (2) shop. (all in between general conference sessions of course) I'm not sure which will win out...

Lastly, every now and then other people think my work is interesting. UF issued a press release today on one of my recent papers. I must say, I *hate* doing press work. I feel like I'm a perfectly articulate person until I'm being interviewed and/or I have a camera in my face. Nevertheless, it's a necessary evil of my job.

The adventures in dental school continue! 

Jeff's learning experiences with anesthesia continued yesterday with a nitrous oxide lab. This one was, undoubtably, much more pleasant than the last. Just a quick hook-up to the good stuff and...

You start getting really anxious and it's not so fun anymore (note the look of sheer pleasure has disappeared). At this point his instructor said, "I guess it's time to turn it down a little..."

A Romantic Dinner for Two

Spring is in full-swing in beautiful Gainesville and this weekend, we took full advantage. Saturday was filled with a flag football game (Jeff played, I was a cheerleader), a lovely afternoon nap, a Gator basketball game, a Gator baseball game, and a culinary adventure!

Jeff and I enjoy the baseball games. Although, a full 9 innings is usually too much for us. So, we arrived fashionably late and the Gators were all ready up 10 to 2. As you can see, most of the fans had all ready left and we had plenty of room to spread out. Although, we did manage to sit in front of a larger girl wearing low-rise pants and no underwear. I just can't figure out how you don't know you're flashing full crack? Or even worse, how you wouldn't care? A mystery...

Our culinary adventure was to Pearl's Country Store and BBQ in Micanopy. We had heard from a few folks that this was a great place for BBQ and it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and how often can you say you had a romantic dinner for two next to the tampon display (see them there behind Jeff's head?)?

This little place is literally a gas station with a BBQ restaurant inside.

But, the food was delicious! And it made for great people watching too! (There was a young country girl there talking to a man at another table about wanting to eat a manatee--I suppose this may not be too weird since they are called "sea cows" but, still a little weird I think) We were definitely over dressed--next time we'll sport our camo and fish/hunting shirts!
