The Brothers Weekend in Broken Bow

We were so glad that all of the menfolk finally made it to Dallas and that the 2014 Brothers Weekend could begin!

Jeff found this great little cabin for their get away.

There was plenty of eating,

soaking, (they had to refill the hot tub every time they got in it--with all that beef inside the water just poured out!)

visiting,

more eating,

and a little bit of hiking.

(Didn't want to burn too many calories!)

There was only one emergency trip to McDonalds to get wifi access. And despite some rainy weather, a good time was had by all...

...and they have the weight gained to prove it.

Preparing for the Tobler Invasion

We are so excited to have all of Jeff's brothers and parents coming to Texas for a much-too-long awaited reunion. It's been almost 6 years since they've all been together and I'm so happy that they're going to have a nice weekend away without wives and children (because let's face it, it's hard to get good visiting in when you have to be a husband and Daddy too!).

Presley and I were especially grateful that Gramma Jan flew in a day early to help us get ready. I don't think P let her out of the playroom the entire day!

She started by making her breakfast...

and showing her how to put her "mate-up" on.

Once the complete princess make-over was complete,

it was off to the kitchen to help me do some baking for the boys.

While I enjoyed the afternoon at the salon, Gramma Jan refreshed P's memory on the excitement of Easter egg hunting.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner before having our first experience with a real Texas storm--complete with nickel-sized hail and the tornado sirens going off. After quickly determining we were outside of the tornado area, we ran to the windows to watch. It was pretty amazing (and scary). Unfortunately, all of the boys flights were delayed and Jeff had a really late night doing the airport pick-ups. What's a Tobler gathering without a little severe weather to kick it off!?!

We spent plenty of play days at the mall this month, courtesy of the crazy Texas weather. Presley didn't mind. I think one of her new favorite things is a mall date with Momma--playing on the indoor playground, riding her favorite purple horsie, getting a bouncy ball from the vending machine and sharing a slice of pizza and a salad for lunch. Not too shabby!

Of course, when there was a nice day, we were sure to spend all of it outside. This is our first picnic on the trampoline. She now thinks that all of our meals need to be served picnic style on the trampoline.

We picked up some sweet new sunglasses for miss P.

And enjoyed a St. Patty's day surprise from Auntie Ashley, Uncle Jay and baby Tripp.

Evidence that there was at least two days that it was nice enough to play outside during March.

But, mostly we were stuck inside baking,

cruising the mall (again),

and just going plain crazy. We sure love this little nut.

And this little beauty is a...

Girl!! We are so excited to add another little princess to our family! Presley is, of course, very happy. Although, I don't think her little brain would've really processed her having a little brother. She always just assumed it would be a little girl. We are very happy not to disappoint!

And then there was this...

Yes, that's snow. We had a 40 degree temperature swing over night and are now having a snow day...in March. Seriously missing the Florida weather right now.

A Visit from the Houston Toblers

We were happy to have Chad, Janet and their kids visit us for a day.

Jeff was able to finish up his work on Chad's new crown

And we were happy to let the kids play. We were blessed with beautiful weather and enjoyed some time at our mega-park, Frisco Commons, followed by a calorie-packed lunch at In-and-Out. These two little girls were so happy to have french fries, hamburgers and milkshakes on the way!

February Phone Favorites

We've gotten back into our weekly lunch-date-with-Daddy routine and we are all happy about it! We get to spend an hour with Daddy and there's usually a milkshake involved! P is usually okay with sharing...

...but don't let her catch you taking an unapproved slurp! She's always watching...

Presley's had this beautiful Cinderella costume for months and really only wears it for "special" occasions. On this beautiful day, she wore it all day long--even on our trip to the park! My little princess and our Prince Charming....

P is such a ham. She likes to make "big cheeks" with her drumsticks. Cracks us up every time.

She continues to enjoy being my little sous chef. We were headed to the Copelands for dinner and I didn't want to run to the store for anything so, we tried our hand at completely-from-scratch brownies. We thought they were pretty tasty!

Let the Adventures in Potty Training Begin!

Presley has started showing some interest in potty training so, off we went to pick out her first big-girl underpants! She has all the Disney princess underwear that a little girl could hope for. Hopefully her excitement will get her through the hard part--actually using the potty!

Presley is Being Promoted!

We are excited to announce that Presley is going to be a big sister! Baby #2 is due August 19th and we are all thrilled!

Our Little Fish Back in the Water

Presley started swimming lessons this week and is loving every minute of it! We were worried that she may have lost some of her swimming skills in the months since we've been away from the pool but, she picked up right where she left off!

She loves her teacher, Miss Kristen, and we are happy that she'll be ready for all of our pool time this summer (if it ever warms up here!)
